To those who may have been thinking what I’ve been up to the past few days, well, suffice to say I’ve been extremely busy with work and found it hard to find time to write in this humble online abode of mine. My personal time has been largely devoted to sleeping and resting after a day’s worth of work and crap. My day’s work usually ends at 3 AM. I start working at 10 AM. You get the picture. At the end of it, I’d rather rest my brain than brew and write about some pseudo-intellectual blabberings and other stuff that may bore your wits out. No pun intended. To myself.
A totally unrelated photo.
But since the opportunity presented itself today, I will allow my mind to speak and let you inside my brain’s inner workings once again. I’d just probably throw in my short two cents on the prevalent issues today.
On the Hayden Kho sex video scandals…
I think the politicians who are riding the issue to achieve more popularity is far worse than the perverts who circulated the set of videos. Really? I can’t believe the fucking SENATE is going to conduct investigations regarding this matter. C’mon people, don’t you guys have anything worthwhile to discuss? Let me remind you that you’re spending taxpayers money while you sit there and watch Doc Hayden prove his sexual athleticism. Sure, the issue of pornography, privacy and moral corruption are serious issues. But really now, this has been going on since God knows when. There have been scores of women who have been victims of hidden cameras and have their private moments circulated around for years now. Why only act on this now? I’ll tell you why. Because it’s the fucking elections next year that’s why. So fuck you politicians. You guys are retarded.
Yes, he looks familiar. He’s from the Senate.
On the Alec Baldwin issue…
Once again, I feel ashamed with how we act all high and mighty while we fail to see that we are full of flaws ourselves. Sure, racism is an issue. But who are we to say that we should “erase Alec Baldwin off the face of the earth” (in Filipino slang) just because he was trying to be funny and used a stereotype in one of his jokes. It’s a fucking joke people. GET OVER IT.
Look at yourself, Filipino. You dare resent someone thousands of miles away and yet you are surrounded by people who are far worse than those far away. Admit it, whenever we think of the Chinese we think they are all shrewed little fucks and speak stupid Filipino… That Indians are always associated with 5-6 loaning schemes and riding a scooter… We think all Arabs stink… We think Koreans are weird and dress funny… We think that the Japanese are just all about manga and anime. Also, all Japanese are Yakuza and they just rape our OFWs because they’re all hardcore and shit. And whenever we see a black guy, we refer to him as “Egoy” or “Negro” or whatever it is that would make our peers laugh harder. I’m not saying that I’m tolerating Mr. Baldwin’s actions. I think it’s right that he apologized for his irresponsible comment. What I’m saying here is we Filipinos have a really MISPLACED SENSE OF PATRIOTISM. And because of that, we are being self made monkeys.
I’m sorry. But unless we start changing ourselves first, we’d always be the sensitive mail-to-order bride nation everyone seems to identify us about.
On the Swine Flu issue…
Art by Bruce Eagle.
So it’s here already. Well I think we should all be careful. Health is wealth. Even I can’t afford to get sick. I wonder how really ready we are against the H1N1 virus. Government says we are ready. Let’s just hope they’re not just saying that because of the elections next year.
Also, Dad I know you’re reading this… So don’t forget to schedule your executive checkup.
That’s it for now. I better get back to work. I’ve got tons of stuff to do. Till next time.

Wits, tama ka malakas humirit ang Pilipino pero pikon.
kaya dapat pag malakas ka mamburaot matutuka maburaot.
If they really want to defend the honor of the nation then you take it out of poverty. Not through furious statements on the web or in front of the cameras. As the jaycee’s (I think ha) say freedom through enterprise

i can seriously relate with the post about the sex scandal and racism…
i got into a heated argument with two complete strangers in a jeep who were talking about how africa was shit (true) and the best countries in that continent were somalia (hell no!) and egypt (funny, ive always thought egypt as more middle eastern than african)…how the chinese were slant eyed fucks…how arabs and africans shouldnt be allowed to inter-breed…and almost everything else you mentioned. *sigh* it almost feels horrible that those two dickwads were “proudly” political science students in up diliman.
good post wits
